Export .star file from cisTEM refinement package without generating a particle stack

Hi.

I was wondering if it was possible to export .star file from cisTEM refinement package without generating a particle stack. My particle stack is very large and I only have 1 class in the refinement package.

Thanks,

Hi Qianglin,

There is currently no way to do this i'm afraid.  If disk space is the issue you can always use /dev/null as the output file.  This will stop the file actually being written to disk, but it will still be somewhat slow as it still does the reading / image processing.

Also, I just want to make sure that you know that cisTEM defaults to protein being black, and Relion defaults to it being white - one of the things that the export does is invert the stack, and normalise it according to the Relion requirements.

Thanks,

Tim

A little late, but a workaround is to export particles with a 2 pixel box.
