Error: mode 32645 MRC files not currently supported

Hi,

I'm (recently) having difficulty running CTF estimation on movies. The movies work fine for motion correction, and CTF estimation works fine on the sums that come out of the motion correction, but if I try to run CTF estimation on aligned frames, I get errors like this:

I have previously been able to run CTF estimation on similar micrographs (ie. same microscope/detector/mag), but I have recently added new movies to the dataset and it's now throwing errors.  As an aside, I'm also not able to select a particular micrograph group and run ctf estimation on only the new micrographs - although I've created groups of micrographs that I can select elsewere in the gui (eg. under actions -> align movies I can select the group 20180404, but under actions -> find ctf I only have the option to select All Images).

Any thoughts on what's going wrong here?

Thank you,

Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,

Hi Bonnie,

That error probably means that the program cannot find the movies, is it possible they have been deleted or moved?   Is this runnng locally or on a cluster? If it is on a cluster, are the movies accessible by all nodes?

There is a bug in the current version, that means sometimes you cannot run movie analysis on sub groups - this should be fixed in the next version.

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Hi Tim,

Thanks for your reply - as you said, it was a problem accessing the files.

Cheers,

Bonnie
