Failed assertion - GUI crashes

Hello,

I get the attached error in cisTEM that leads to a GUI crash, regardless of whether I click on Stop or Continue.

I started getting it after having interrupted an autorefinement run after one cycle. Right after killing the job, this error appeared, and the GUI crashed.

I can successfully re-open cisTEM, load this project database, but when I navigate to the Results section, I get the same error and no way to avoid the GUI crashing.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks so much for the help!

E.

Hi,

Hi,

Did you just create the refinement package prior to this crash?  If so, this is a known bug from cisTEM 1.0.  If a refinement package is created, then the first job fails it will lead to these crashes.  If this is the case, a way to fix it is to load the project, go to Assets->refinement packages and delete the refinement package.  Then recreate it and continue - once the refinement completes it should be ok.

If the refinement package is old and you don't want to delete it, we can explore other options - let me know!

Cheers,

Tim

Thanks for the quick reply!

Thanks for the quick reply!

The refinement package was old and all my refinements were run on it, so it would be a bit of a bummer to delete it, though I can save the important files and do it anyway, if that's the only way. I had started to work on masked refinements and was going back to a global autorefinement using the new map as a starting point, after a successful round of local refinement with a mask (someone's advice - I'm not sure this is the right way to proceed after masked refinement, by the way).

Is there an alternative to deleting the refinement package?

Thanks!
