Empty particle position and image ID information when imported from Relion

Dear cisTEM members,

Newbie here. I've tried to use cisTEM to refine using particles previous processed in Relion3.0. I tried to import Assets as Refine Packages from Relion, and all particles were imported but their Image ID and position information were all lost (al "-1" for Image ID and all "0.00" for X and Y positions). Defocus information were correctly imported.

The imported files are from a Relion 3D AutoRefine job (run_data.star), and stacks were generated by relion_stack_create. I've checked the output STAR file and all particle positions and micrograph origin information were indeed in there. Not sure how the problem occurs.

Thank you all!

When importing a Refinement

When importing a Refinement Package from a STAR file, only the particle alignment parameters are imported, together with relevant microscope parameters (defocus, pixel size, etc). Why do you need the particle positions on the original micrographs?

Hi Bingfa,

Hi Bingfa,

As Niko said, this information is not stored.  However, if you want to track it back after doing classification etc, this post might be able to help :-

Thanks!
